The Importance of Maintaining Eye Contact in Interviews

It is also a chance for the interviewer to know about the person’s skills , personality and confidence so that they can decide based on these things about the person giving the interview. It is important to all give correct answers to all the questions but where a person presents itself is also necessary. One of the most important parts of body language in an interview is eye contact. Many people do not realise how much eye contact affects their chance of getting the promotion or admission or job. Eye contact is a powerful way to show confidence, honesty and interest in the conversation with the people. Eye contact also helps to trust between the person taking the interview and the candidate. There are many people who struggle to maintain the right amount of eye contact in an interview. If someone makes a little eye contact then it can show that they are nervous or dishonest while making too much eye contact can make people uncomfortable. What is important to not over do the eye contact, if someone looks directly into the interviewers eyes without even blinking or looking away so it can make them feel uncomfortable from your gaze.
